Meet Max Bennett, an Avionics Engineer located in Mobile, Al. Max began his journey with Airbus U.S. Space & Defense as an intern at ADSMA and for the past three years has been a full-time engineer on all Avionics Designs.

Max’s passion for tinkering and fixing things led him to pursue a career in engineering.

“I grew up in a household where if something broke, you either fixed it or lived without,” he said. “My grandfather gave me the tools and knowledge to work on things, and my grandmother gave me the books to look deeper.”

In his current role, Max values the opportunity to work on the leading edge of technology and embrace new challenges.

“I always aim to deliver the best designs possible, not just from my perspective, but for our production teams and customers,” he said. “I like to welcome the challenges that others deem too difficult.”

So far, one of Max’s favorite memories at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense has been participating in flight tests for the systems he helped design.

“There’s nothing more invigorating than feeling the full force of a C212 as it maneuvers and tests the limits of your designs,” he said.

Outside of work, Max enjoys machine restoration and modification. “What can I say? I live the way I work.”
