Meet Lekel Richardson, a Senior Executive Affairs Manager located in Grand Prairie, Tx. Lekel is responsible for providing support to the Military Helicopters and Uncrewed Systems teams.

Lekel’s role at Airbus U.S. was the start of her journey in the space and defense industry.

“What drew me to this field was a deep fascination with innovation, exploration, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible,” she said. “The idea of contributing to technologies that advance human capabilities, whether it’s space exploration or aviation, has always inspired me.”

Prior to joining Airbus U.S., Lekel worked as a purchasing manager for Mcfactor Meetings, a corporate event management company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. There, she built a strong foundation in communication, technology, and project management, which helps her excel in her current role.

“I thrive on staying organized and efficient, even in high-pressure situations,” she said. “My ability to remain calm allows me to handle challenges with clarity and focus.”

What sets Lekel apart as an Executive Affairs Manager is her passion for applying her skills to projects with tangible impacts. Her problem-solving capabilities enable her to anticipate and address issues proactively, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

“My goal is always to provide seamless support and contribute to the team’s success,” she said.

Lekel appreciates the memories she has from the Grand Prairie office. She especially enjoys the annual Halloween chili cookoff on site, where she loves seeing the leader team’s Halloween costumes.

Outside of work, Lekel enjoys anything Marvel and likes spending time at the beach.
