Meet Kaye Butler, a Senior Procurement Specialist located in Greenville, Tx. Kaye has worked at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense for over fifteen years, with the past two-and-a-half years in Procurement.

Kaye’s journey with Airbus began in 2009 when she joined Airbus Helicopters (formerly EADS North America) as a receptionist.

“That role provided the best foundation for learning everything Airbus and Airbus Affiliates were creating in the US,” she said. “I jumped at any opportunity to learn, and I was fortunate to have fantastic bosses who supported and encouraged me throughout the years.”

Her initial role at Airbus taught Kaye the importance of staying open to new possibilities a job can bring.

“Never be afraid of change in your career,” she said. “Change is often a great thing.”

As a procurement specialist, Kaye is responsible for processing purchase requests for multiple programs and cost centers, which involves overseeing the procurement process from start to finish. What sets Kaye apart in her role is her exceptional people skills and positive attitude.

“The very best thing about Airbus U.S. Space & Defense is its people,” she said. “My goal each day at work is to be as helpful as I can and make it fun.”

Looking ahead, Kaye is excited to see the continued growth of the Procurement Team after a successful year of progress.

“Our team is constantly learning and adapting,” she said. “We’ve grown a lot and are on track to becoming a well-oiled machine.”

Outside of work, Kaye enjoys yard work and gardening. Her ideal day is spent on her farm, where she can look out her window to see her cows, chickens, and pigs.
