NASA’s European Service Module
The Orion spacecraft's powerhouse, the European Service Module, was constructed by Airbus Defence and Space. This module will supply Orion with in-space propulsion, power, air, and water for the crew. Additionally, it will regulate the spacecraft's temperature and keep it on course during its deep-space journey.
Orion’s Powerhouse
The Orion crew vehicle, designed by NASA for deep space missions, will be used to transport the crew for the Artemis-3 mission, which will land the first woman and next man on the Moon. Orion will support all of NASA's Artemis missions to the moon and return the crew safely to Earth. The European Service Module is a core component of the Orion crew vehicle.
