Happy #EngineersWeek! Today we highlight Hunter Bassett, our Senior Mechanical Engineer, who works with the ARROW Family of Satellites. Hunter describes his favorite part of the job being how there are many “nuances and technical challenges within the subsystem that must be well understood. I am responsible for conveying those to my team, the other disciplines, and our customers.”

His favorite part of his job is working with the satellite every day, “we are moving at extraordinary speeds to design, build, test, and fly space hardware that will have capability to host numerous types of in-space objectives, including key national defense platforms.”

Hunter also grew up watching NASA Space Shuttle launches from his hometown in Florida. “Ever since I could remember, I’ve been fascinated with rockets and spacecraft and it was these interests which propelled me to become a mechanical engineer and work in the aerospace industry.”
