March 8 is #InternationalWomensDay and today we’re highlighting Marie-Pierre Pluvinage, our Director, Business Development for the C4ISR program, who has been through many iterations of Airbus over the course of ten years. Her main focus has been in the realm of Satellite Communications, Space Systems, and related programs.

Marie-Pierre says that the most rewarding part of her time with Airbus U.S. has been “having the opportunity to learn about Airbus’ wide array of product and services, beyond commercial aircraft, and history in aviation as well as satellite and space related activities.” She describes herself as a “very curious person by nature” and is thankful for the time her mentors have spent helping her discover new technologies and programs.

Marie-Pierre describes herself as a “proud mother of three girls who have been exposed to STEM related activities at school and though my work and it has had a profound impact on them.” As an Airbus U.S. employee and as the President of SSPI-MA, she explains how she strives to share that opportunity with others. 

Currently, she is working on bringing together multiple Airbus products to provide optimal solutions to solve customer’s unique challenges, however she explains how her greatest obstacle is working remotely, “I am a very collaborative person who thrives on in-person brainstorming and interactive conversations. Though we have established many options for hybrid work, I truly appreciate the times where we meet in person!”
