As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, we highlight Aisha Dix, a Senior Human Resources Business Partner located in Arlington, Va. She partners with management to align business goals with HR practices and supports employees to foster a positive workplace experience.

Aisha found her passion for helping employees early in her professional career.

“I felt human resources would be a good way to put my psychology degree to use while also allowing me to create positive work environments for employees,” she said.

Before working at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Aisha worked at General Dynamics for nine years in several different HR roles supporting international HR, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and more. She began at Airbus U.S. in January as a contractor, before transitioning to her current role in May.

“I feel proud to work in an industry and company whose mission is to protect our country and our warfighters,” she said. “We have so many fascinating services and products that make an impact each day.”

Outside of work, Aisha enjoys hiking and kayaking. On her ideal day, she likes to spend time outside and eat a good meal with her family.

Aisha is proud of her unique cultural background, being half-Colombian and half-Moroccan.

“Growing up around two very different cultures helps me appreciate others’ viewpoints,” she said. “I feel fortunate to experience both worlds.”
