Meet Brian Maguire

Meet Brian Maguire, our Senior Director of Business Integration in the Space Systems line of business, located in Boulder, Co. Brian is responsible for the maturation of the Arrow450 Product Line and its overall standardization, next-generation capabilities, business integration tools to the product lifecycle, and facility capital projects. He plays a key leadership role in bridging between Arrow450 strategy and execution and connecting support functions across the company.

Brian’s journey in the space field began when Ball Aerospace chose him as a Co-Op engineer after his freshman year at Purdue University.

“I was immediately drawn to the challenge of space and the teams we build to execute on these complex projects,” he said. “From there, I continued to grow and learn, and I still do this day.”

After graduating, Brian spent twenty-three years at Ball Aerospace, now BAE Systems, working on various activities in Test Engineering, Mission and Security Assurance, and Capability Development. Before joining Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, he supported Loft Orbital as their Senior Director of Aerospace Engineering and was already familiar with the Arrow150 variant produced for Loft.

Now, two years into his current role, Brian is focused on ensuring the Arrow450 commercial product line is scaled for industrialization, building upon the practices from automotive and airline manufacturing already used in the Florida assembly line.

“The time, dedication, and infrastructure needed for even building off an existing ARROW 150 model to scale to the ARROW 450 is an endeavor that cannot be underestimated,” he said. “It takes teamwork, dedication and building off the existing base, both in talent and hardware. We continue to bring in some of the brightest minds from across industries to make this dream possible.”

Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and children, to include skiing or playing sports. He also likes taking runs in the mountains to boost his creativity.
