Meet Matthew Masias, a Senior Manager of Product Support for Military Helicopters based in Grand Prairie, Texas. In this role, he provides leadership and oversight for the integration and synchronization of all Product Support elements concerning U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) pursuits and program execution. He also leads all sustainment, logistics and support function strategies required for the Aerial Logistics Connector program. 

Prior to joining Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Matthew served in the military for 27 years.  

“After serving in the military, and being an Army Aviator, I gained invaluable insights into aviation operations,” he said. “My experience led me to the military helicopter aerospace industry.” 

Although no longer in the military, Matthew still finds purpose in contributing to the mission.  

“While my military service is over, my role allows me to contribute to the development of advanced military aircraft programs that meet current and future aviation demands,” he said. 

One of Matthew’s favorite projects so far has been working with the U.S. Marine Corps.  

“Although I am U.S. Army at heart, I thoroughly enjoy my current role where our Aerial Logistics Connector team demonstrates the current and future capabilities of our UH-72B helicopter to the USMC,” he shared. “Working with them has been rewarding and so much fun.” 

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys traveling and spending time with loved ones. 

 “I love spending time with my family—my wife of 31 years, my four children, and my brand-new grandson,” he said. “Life doesn’t get any better when you are around family.”
