Meet Sara Brown is a Senior Business Transformation Manager supporting all lines of business. In this role, she ensures special projects, tools, and processes run effectively.

Sara has worked at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense for just over five years. Prior to joining the company, she was a civil servant with the U.S. Air Force and worked with several other defense companies.

Sara has always had an interest in learning how to fix things and make processes better.

“Airbus U.S. gave me the chance to broaden my career into operations, and I haven’t looked back since,” she said. “It’s the perfect spot to blend problem-solving with impact.”

What drew Sara to work in the defense industry is the people.

“The talent, dedication, and passion you find in this industry is unmatched.”

The advice Sara would give anyone who wants to join the space and defense industry is not to be afraid of challenges.

“Say yes. Take the project, jump into the challenge, even if you don’t know exactly how to do it yet,” she said. “That’s where the real growth and fun happens.”

Sara’s favorite memory from Airbus U.S. was attending a satellite launch in person.

“Standing with my coworkers and watching something we all worked so hard to make go up into space was truly unforgettable.”

Outside of work, Sara is working to establish a STEAM focused children’s museum in her local community.

“It’s my passion project,” she said. “A way to bring wonder, creativity, and hands on learning to families in my community.”
