Meet Kathryn (Kathy) Pierson, an Executive Affairs Manager supporting our Space and C4ISR lines of business. In this role, Kathy ensures smooth executive operations while providing high level support and coordination across teams. Prior to joining the company, she worked for nine years at Capital One as an Executive Assistant.

Kathy has worked at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense for six years, originally, she was with the Security, Ethics and Compliance teams and later moved to support Space and C4ISR.

“Since I began supporting the Space team I have learned so much,” she said. “I’ve enjoyed working with an amazing team who is patient and willing to teach me about the industry.”

A piece of advice Kathy would give to anyone who wants to join the space and defense industry is to “Keep up the willingness to learn… every day is a new opportunity”

She finds inspiration in her career in many ways.

“For me there are many inspiring moments and people in my life,” she said. “I like to focus on the power of attitude, the importance of proactiveness, serving others, and the value of my skills in supporting leadership.”

Outside of work, Kathy is very passionate about her family.

“Being a “Gammy” to Adalynn is awesome, and I am over the moon about the arrival of my second granddaughter next spring.”
