John Timmermann is the General Counsel of Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, responsible for legal and compliance matters across the company and serving as Corporate Secretary.

Prior to his role at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, John was the General Counsel of Airbus U.S. Florida, formerly known as OneWeb Satellites, where he served as a key member of the senior management team that built the company from paper concept to reality, including developing an industry defining manufacturing facility and manufacturing approximately 700 satellites.

Before joining OneWeb Satellites, John spent 11 years as an attorney with Milbank LLP in New York, focusing on cross-border M&A and complex joint ventures.

Earlier in his career, John worked in the currencies market in various capacities.

John has a BA from Colgate University and a JD from Fordham Law.
